Usain Bolt Dethroned As World’s Fastest Man


BEVERLY HILLS, August 05, (THEWILL) – Usain Bolt was on Saturday defeated at the London World Athletics Championships in what was supposed to be his last outing.

The 30 year-old Jamaican wanted to leave the stage with a loud ovation as the greatest 100 and 200 metres runner ever.

However, Bolt breasted the tape at 9.95 seconds behind American Justin Gatlin who coasted home in 9.92 seconds and Christian Coleman also of the USA in made a time of 9.94seconds.

Gatlin was out in lane eight, and while everyone’s attentions was on the battle in lane four and five.

Bolt gave himself a lot to do in the second-half of that race and it proved too much as the US star drove hard in the last 40m to storm to victory stunning the world.
