The youngster was on holiday with his mum in the Spanish city when the van attack on Las Ramblas that left 14 dead unfolded.
As the white Transit ploughed into a group of tourists, he became separated from his mum, Jom Cadman.
Hopes were fading for finding the dual British-Australian citizen alive yesterday as Spanish authorities revealed they were no longer searching for any missing youngsters.
Police earlier tweeted: “Neither were we searching nor have we found any lost child in the Barcelona attack. All the victims and injured have been located.”
His father Andrew made the long flight from Australia and landed on yesterday afternoon to comfort his seriously injured wife, who had been in the area attending a family wedding.
A huge appeal from loved ones to find the former Kent schoolboy, who loved to dance and fill his pockets with Lego, was taken down yesterday.
Mrs Cadman – who is from the Philippines – is recovering in hospital with broken legs after she was hit.
Heartbreaking accounts from witnesses said she begged for information about the whereabouts of her son.
The Spanish missing persons’ bureau released a statement confirming his death.
it said: “Julian Cadman’s family has told us that he is, unfortunately, one of the victims of the attack and has asked us to thank all the people who have spread the news.
“In these very unjust, hard and painful moments, we accompany Julian’s family and friends. Rest in peace.
“Once again we wish to reiterate our appreciation and involvement in your search.
