Premier League club Manchester United have made it to the semi-finals of the 2017 Europa League championship after beating visiting Anderlecht 2-1 in their quarter final second leg match at Old Trafford on Thursday night, April 20, 2017.
But Manchester United were forced to extra time before schoolboy Marcus Rashford netted the winning goal for the Red Devils in the 107th minute.
NAIJ.com can report that Henrik Mkhitaryan opened scoring for Manchester United in the 10th minute after being set up by Frenchman Paul Pogba.
Marcus Rashford and Mourinho in good mood
Anderlecht were impressive after conceding the first goal, and they labored in the 32nd minute to equalized as both sides went to the break with the scoreline at 1-1.
Pogba would have scored the winner for Manchester United at the death, but his stunning header was saved as the tie went to extra time.
United fans were thinking of how their fate would be in penalty before Marcus Rashford sent them to cloud nine by scoring the winning goal in the 107th minute to qualify for the semi finals on 3-2 aggregate.
