Zimbabwean football legend Memory Mucherahowa claims his club used juju
He was captain of Dynamos football club for eight years
He made the claims in his autobiography
Zimbabwean football legend Memory Mucherahowa has made bizarre claims that his former club actively used juju to win matches.
Memory, 49, makes the astonishing claims in his autobiography, Soul of Seven Million Dreams, which he released on May 16.
In an interview with the BBC, Memory said the popular club, Dynamos, often allowed juju to overshadow tactical considerations.

In the book, Memory writes: "Every week before a game the team would consult a traditional healer. I, as the team captain, would be the one to execute whatever the sangoma (juju-man) had said. Whether it actually aided us, I do not know."
He also describes an incident where a "traditional healer" made incisions in the players' feet to apply traditional "medicine" to help them. As a result, they suffered pains throughout the match, which disappointingly ended in a draw.
Memory said his team's belief in juju was so strong that it often overshadowed tactical considerations
The former Zimbabwe international was captain of Dynamos, African Champions League finalists in 1988, for eight years. He retired in 2001.
Memory told the BBC that his revelations are not meant to offend anyone but to tell the truth. He added that he's sure the use of charms, spells and rituals is still prevalent in football even today.
