The parents of conjoined twins say they will not separate them
The only reason for them to make that decision would be a medical one or if they ask for it
Doctors had told them to abort the girls
Callie and Carter Torres were born as conjoined twins in January against all odds. Doctors had told their parents to abort them but they adamantly refused.
Now, Nick and Chelsea Torres have got caught again in the middle of a debate, after they announced they will not separate the girls.
22-year-old Chelsea said in a TV interview that only if a "medical issue" arose, she would agree to separate them. The twins share two legs, intestines and a colon. Their mother found out about this complicated situation three months into her pregnancy. They moved to another city in order to be close to a specialist in order to monitor the babies.

Chelsea commented that another reason for the girsls to be separated is if “they don't want to be together anymore. It's their lives and they're living it, we're just aiding in the whole thing." The fact is that they are happy and "completely 180 personalities from each other", as Nick put it!
