Nigerians are reacting to the news of a 20-year-boy that was allegedly killed by police operatives in Lagos state.

Reports gathered that the victim, Albert Okechukwu, had a misunderstanding with a bike man and this made the police interfere. Somewhere along the line, some police officers intervened and demanded to see the mobile phone of the young boy.

Okechukwu was said to have refused and this led to him being allegedly brutalised and killed by the police officers.

Nigerians do not find this incident funny at all as they are spooked that police operatives who are saddled with the responsibility of protecting lives and properties would dare take the life of an innocent boy.

The Lagos state commissioner of police had said recently that police officers do not have the right to check through people’s mobile phones and laptops.

A campaign has been launched for the poor guy who lost his life in the unfortunate incident as Nigerians do not want him to die in vain.
