Zlatan Ibrahimovic out for nine months after suffering knee injury against Anderlecht


Ibrahimovic will be out for the rest of the season due to knee injury in their 2-1 win against Anderlecht

The Swede fell awkwardly and landed badly at stoppage time and was taken off the pitch immediately

The 35-year-old might have played what seems to be his last game at Old Trafford as his future at the club is in doubt

Zlatan Ibrahimovic will be out for the rest of the season after suffering a serious knee injury in their 2-1 win against Anderlecht on Thursday April 21, 2017.

The Swede appears to have torn his Anterior Cruciate Ligament in his knee after he fell awkwardly and landed badly in stoppage time and was immediately taken off the pitch.

The 35-year-old could have played what seems to be his last game for Manchester United as his contract expires at the end of the season and his future at the club is in doubt.

Also, Marcos Rojo is also set to miss the rest of the season after hurting his knee in the same game.

We understands that both players underwent scans on Friday April 21, 2017, and it is bad news for both as they will be out for the season.

There is no confirmation to the extent of Zlatan's injury but in recent years Anterior Cruciate Ligament knee injury have hit quite a number of Premier League stars such as Chelsea’s Kurt Zouma, Liverpool’s Danny Ings and Arsenal defender Carl Jenkinson and they were all out for close to nine months or more.
