Mourinho spotted kissing lucky charm shortly before Rashford scored against Anderlecht


Marcus Rashford scored in the second half of extra-time as United defeated Anderlecht

Jose Mourinho was spotted kissing an object he brought out of his pocket before that goal

Reports have it that the 'Special One' had to subscribe to his lucky charm

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho was caught on camera kissing what looks like a lucky charm a few moments before Marcus Rashford netted the winner against Anderlecht in their Europa League fixture on Thursday, April 20.

Henrik Mkhitaryan opened scoring for United in the 10th minute after being set up by Frenchman Paul Pogba.

The visitors then pressed for the equalizing goal which they got in the 32nd minute and that was how it ended at the end of 90 minutes; recall that the first leg also ended 1-1. Thus, the game went into the extra-time.

TV cameras focused on the ‘Special One’ as he brought out a piece out of his pocket moments before the start of second half of extra-time as the game looked to be heading for a penalty shootout.

Jose then raised the stuff to his face, looked at it for a moment and then kissed it then returned it into his pocket. Barely two minutes later, Rashford grabbed the winning goal. It ended Manchester United 2 – 1 Anderlecht, with the Red Devils proceeding 3 – 2 on aggregates.

According to The Mirror (UK) the charm in form of a book which had an inscription which Mourinho was alleged to have read is suspected to have done the magic

Manchester United are now through to the semi-final of the Europa League and will face Spanish side Celta Vigo for a place in the final.
