Neymar included in Time Magazine's 100 most influential people on the planet


Barcelona forward Neymar is included in 2017 Time's 100 most influential people on the planet

The 25-year-old is the only footballer on the most influential list released on 20 April 2017

The Brazilian is one of three sport stars on the list alongside Lebron James and Tom Brady

Barcelona star Neymar is the only football player in the 2017 Time Magazine's 100 most influential people on the planet.

The Brazilian moved from Santos to Barcelona in 2013 and his reputation has grown rapidly alongside teammate and 5 time world player of the year Lionel Messi.

Neymar was among 3 sport stars included in the list alongside LeBron James and Tom Brady also named in the 'Icon' section.

The 25-year-old is widely seen as the player most likely to succeed Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi as the as the game's stand-out performer.

He was recently given a 3-match ban in a 2-0 defeat against Malaga when he applauded the fourth official sarcastically after being shown a second yellow card. He will miss the El classico at the Bernabeu on 23 April 2017

So far this season the Brazilian forward has scored 15 goals for Barca in all competition although that is less than what he managed in his last two seasons, many feel this is his best season since his arrival at Camp Nou in 2013.
