NDLEA launches manhunt for Lagos socialite and suspected drug dealer (photos)


National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has launched a manhunt for a suspected drug dealer in Lagos state

The suspect is wanted for allegedly smuggling 1.595kg of cocaine in February 2017

A manhunt has been launched for a suspected drug dealer and Lagos socialite, Fumilola Arike Ogbuaya, who was involved in smuggling 1.595kg of cocaine from Lagos to Saudi Arabia.

According to the NDLEA spokesman, Mitchell Ofoyeju, the agency is investigating the woman’s multi-billion naira assets.

Reports gathered that the agency commenced investigation into the suspect after arresting a drug dealer identified as, Odeyemi Omolara Morayo, also known as Ariyo Monsurat Olabisi.

The agency’s investigation into Morayo implicated Ogbuaya who was then invited for questioning.

Officers of the agency stormed Ogbuaya’s house after she failed to respond to the invitation but she was nowhere to be found.

After an investigation into Ogbuaya was launched, the agency discovered that the suspect has several properties worth billions of naira.

It was discovered that the Osun state born has properties in Lagos, Ogun and Osun states.

Muhammad Mustapha Abdallah, the NDLEA boss has vowed to trace all illicit drug proceeds in the country.

He urged members of the public to cooperate with the agency if they have any information about the whereabouts of Ogbuaya.
