Javier Mascherano set to leave Barcelona for Turkish giants


- As Barcelona set to welcome new manager, some players of the club might leave

- Reports say Javier Mascherano is set to leave the club for Galatasaray

- It was gathered that the meeting between the player's agents and the Turkish club went fine

Reports from Spain indicate that Barcelona midfield maestro, who also plays as a defender, Javier Mascherano, could leave the club at the end of the season.

Ahead of the arrival of a new manager, it is observed that a huge percentage of the squad is practically the same side that won the UEFA Champions League in 2011, but are on the verge of crashing-out of the same tournament in the quarter-final this season.

Javier Mascherano set to leave Barcelona

Reports confirm that Turkish giants Galatasaray have contacted representatives of Maescherano as they look forward to having the Argentine.

It was also gathered that the meeting between agents of both parties went well and a deal of over £4million could be arranged.

Despite having a buy-out clause of £85m, Mascherano whose deal at Camp Nou runs till 2019 could be allowed to go for much less.

The Argentine midfielder-turned-defender has been a stalwart for club and country.

Recall that the 32-year-old was sensational at Liverpool before joining the Catalan giants in 2010, where he replaced Carles Puyol in the back.

With Barcelona, the Argentine star has won 4 La Liga titles, 3 Copa Del Rey titles and has been crowned a Champions League winner twice.
