Gallant 10-man United force Man City to a draw at the Etihad


Manchester United managed to get a point at the Etihad against their city Rivals

City had several chances to claim all three points but fluffed them all

Marouane Fellaini was sent off in the fixture for fouls against Aguero late in the game

It was a fight to finish at the Etihad stadium on Thursday night, April 27, as Manchester United managed to force Manchester City to a draw.

Pep Guardiola's men had a massive share of the possession all night but were not clinical in front of goal as Aguero and Sane missed a handful of chances.

Marcus Rashford gave his all in the encounter and almost opening goal lat in the first half.

The second half was all about the Citizens but the somehow could not find the back of the net as Eric Bailly and Daley Blind did a yeoman's job to keep United in the game.

There was drama in the 84th minute when Marouane Fellaini was shown two yellow cards in the space of seconds for silly challenges on Sergio Aguero as Manchester United were reduced to ten men.

In the 90th minute, the celebrating Gabriel Jesus who thought he had nodded home the crucial winning goal was stunned when the assistant referee correctly flagged him for offside.

With the result, Manchester United remain 5th on the EPL standings with 64 points, 1 point behind city rivals Manchester City who remain fourth.

Chelsea stay at the summit of the Premier League with 78 points from 33 games. Tottenham are second with 74 while Liverpool stay third with 66 points.

The Blues will face a stern test on Sunday, April 30, when they travel to the Goodison Park to face in-form side Everton.

Tottenham host Arsenal on the same day, while Manchester United play host to Swansea.
