Sokoto governor donates truck load of food and cash to parents of quadruplets (photos)



The Sokoto state government has donated a truck-load of food, baby items and cash to the parents of new quadruplets who were delivered on Monday, August 7.

Governor Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto donated a sum of N500,000, baby items and baby wears for the up keep of the quadruplet girls.

In a statement issued by the governor’s spokesman, Malam Imam, the money was given to the family to support the father’s farming business.

The commissioner of social welfare in the state Alhaji Surajo Gatawa, while presenting the gifts to the family, noted that the state would continue to care for the children.

Gatawa said: "We are here to present these items as a means of support to you. The birth of a child is a moment of joy to us. And because God decided to give you four at the same time, our joys are four-fold. We thank God for this joy and addition to your family and we will continue to monitor the progress of the children through you."
