See the deplorable state of an all-girls secondary school in Gombe (photos)

A lot has been said about the deplorable state of some government schools and roads in Nigeria. However, not all these places have been attended to.

Such is the case of the Government Girls Senior Secondary School (GGSSS), in Gombe state. These young girls can be seen studying under a dilapidated roof with no hiding place for them any time it rains.

According to IG Wala who shared the pictures on Facebook, he disclosed that the state governor spent millions in renovating only schools located in the Gombe metropolis and neglected others.

Wala said: “DANKWAMBO'S DECEIT! GGSSS Kuri in Gombe state depicts the true condition of most schools in the State. No doubt, Governor Dankwambo has done good job in renovating schools that are located in Gombe metropolis because that is the center of attraction. This is why he starved schools like Kuri few millions and embezzled over N2 billion in renovating Central Primary school, just because it was the same school he attended. Funny enough, those schools that witnessed over inflated renovation contracts are all empty from the inside. No furnitures, no teaching aids and teachers are left to their own fate. #TimeUp”
