Reactions trail alleged Nigerian stow-away from Lagos to London


The young man, who is identified as Emmanuel Ugochukwu, reportedly stowed away in the plane from Lagos to London and back

Nigerians are currently wondering how he did it successfully in spite of the heavy security presence at the airport

Many Nigerians have been shocked by the news that a citizen, whose name was given as Emmanuel Ugochukwu, allegedly stowed away in the front wheels of Medview Aircraft from Lagos to London.

He also reportedly returned to Nigeria in the same way, according to Sahara Reporters.

Many of those who reacted wondered how the Ugochuckwu found his way into the plane without being discovered by the law enforcement and security agents all stationed at the airport.

NAIJ.com had earlier reported that a teenager, whose name could not be ascertained at the time of this report, was spotted by the airside staff of the Nigerian Aviation Handling Company who were handling the aircraft.

After his arrest, he was handed over to Aviation Security, AVSEC, of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, FAAN.

The sources further said the boy was taken out of the airside by AVSEC officials to an unknown place.

The official confirmation by the spokesman of the aviation agencies, Mr. Yakubu Dati, is still awaited.
