The National Chairman and former Presidential Candidate of National Action Council (NAC), Dr. Olapade Agoro, yesterday likened Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose’s incessant criticism of President Muhammadu Buhari, to statements normally common with an Indian hemp-smoking “motor park agbero boy”.
Agoro said in a statement yesterday in Ibadan that Fayose’s latest outburst was nothing short of recklessness.
“To be honest about it all, there is the urgent need for decency and decorum in the political play field of Nigeria if the right, good and decent characters will be expected ready game players in it,” Agoro said.
According to Dr. Agoro, the fact that President Muhammadu Buhari is ill and currently undergoing medical treatment “should in the right thinking of a balanced mind not be a matter of evil and wishful politicking by reckless and irresponsible bile duct politicians but rather prayerful and open expression of good wishes to aid the healing process of the president”.
“However it hurts to the bone marrow to read and find displayed often more than necessary particularly in the nation’s prime print and published media, throw about reckless abusive words of hate and vituperations by Ayodele Fayose concerning the nations’ respected leaders, the type of language one would normally expect to find with the Indian hemp smoking motor park and agbero boys,” he said.
“If Governor Ayodele Fayose and his like are so heartless concerning the sick President Buhari, his immediate family particularly his wife Aisha who surely must now be carrying more than her fair share of heavy burden of pains and sorrow on the situates of her husband must be pitied and spared the continuous and daily pounding of releases of speeches of hate,” he added.
