Manchester City striker Kelechi Iheanacho was the savior for the Super Eagles of Nigeria on Friday night, May 26, 2017 as his late minute penalty saved Nigeria from a defeat against Corsica in an international friendly match played at the Stade Francois in Ajaccio which ended 1-1.
Super Eagles thought that their opponents would be an easy ride in the friendly duel, but Gernot Rohr's men were taught some football lessons by the Corsican players.
Striker Mandrici scored the opener for Corsica in the 5th minute via a penalty after Super Eagles defender Tyronne Ebuchi handled the ball in the box.

Nigeria wasted so many chances in the match as the duo of Ahmed Musa and Henry Onyekuru could not score for the Super Eagles.
Corsica would also have their goalkeeper Penneteau to thank as he denied the Super Eagles from scoring on many occasions.
The hosts were on the verge of winning the game before Oghenekaro Etebo was brought down in he box late-on, and Kelechi Iheanacho stepped forward to convert the spot kick at the death as the match ended 1-1.
