Juventus announce €20m signing of Chelsea star Juan Cuadrado


Juan Cuadrado has left Chelsea for Italian side Juventus in a €20m deal

The Colombian has spent the last two seasons on loan at the Turin

He has scored 8 goals in 83 apprearance for the Italian Champions

Champions League finalists Juventus have ​announced the permanent signing of Juan Cuadrado from Chelsea on a three year deal.

The winger who has spent the last two seasons at the club on loan signed a deal till 2020.

The former Chelsea Chelsea winger initially joined the club on loan in 2015, before Juve agreed to sign him on a three-year loan last summer.

The club were obligated to sign the player permanently under the previous agreement, according to a press release released by the Turin club on Monday, May 22.

The Italian side announced that the deal totaled €20m which will be payable in three annual installments.


Cuadrado played 13 times in all competitions for Chelsea
The club said in a statement: "Juventus Football Club SpA announces that, following the occurrence of the pre-contract terms, has triggered the obligation to buy outright from Chelsea Football Club Limited of the registration rights of the player Juan Guillermo Cuadrado Bello.

"The consideration under the agreements is €20m payable in three annual instalments starting from the next financial year 2017/2018. Juventus have signed the player on a contract up to 30 June 2020."

The Colombian initially joined the Blues from Fiorentina in January 2015 during Jose Mourinho's spell in charge.

Cuadrado has been impressive during his spell with Juventus notching eight goals in 83 appearances in all competitions.
