A referee was reportedly attacked in Kwekwe town by football fans after he allowed an offside goal in Zimbabwe.
According to reports, referee Thomas Kusosa was beaten up by Highlander FC supporter who were not happy about his officiating.

A witness claimed that the referee was caught by the furious fans in Kwekwe while he was drinking beer.
The victim had to run for his life after he was thoroughly beaten by the angered supporters.
He was chased by furious fans and later escaped as he got away in a taxi which took off in high-speed.
The referee is yet to make a statement about the incident and the Kwekwe police have stated that they have not received any reports about the assault.
