England manager, Arsenal legends in attendance as Ugo Ehiogu is buried



Former Tottenham U23 manager Ugo Ehiogu has been laid to rest today, May 10

The ex-England player who is of Nigerian descent died on April 21, following a fatal heart attack

Top football stars including Premier League legends we at the burial service in north London

England manager Gareth Southgate and a host of football legends including Ian Wright were in attendance as ex-England defender Ugo Ehiogu is buried amid tears.

Southgate played alongside Ehiogu at Middlesbrough and Aston Villa during their playing days.

Ehiogu who was the Tottenham U23 coach tragically passed away on April 21, after he was rushed to the hospital when he suffered a fatal heart attack at Spurs’ training centre.

According to the Sun (UK) a floral arrangement, accompanied with a message from a loved one, was placed next to the coffin as it made its way towards the service.

He is survived by his wife, Gemma, and their two children.

The burial service which was well attended by top football stars was held at St Michael’s church, Highgate, North London on Wednesday, May 10.

Former Villa boss Ron Atkinson, Andy Cole, Dwight Yorke, Darren Bent, Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, Dion Dublin, Tim Sherwood and Les Ferdinand all paid their respects.
