14-year-old physically challenged girl identified as Jamila Musa, was reported to have burst into tears when a group of the National Youths Service Corps (NYSC), donated wheelchairs but did not get to her.
Musa was said to have burst into tears after the corp members gave out three wheelchairs to some physically challenged persons at a ceremony in Kiyawa Local Government area of Jigawa and she was part of the beneficiaries.
However, on Saturday, May 19, the NYSC coordinator of the state, Mr Michael Omulo revealed that the corp members will also be donating medical facilities to the rural community.

He said: “This is to touch the lives of the rural dwellers and it will also be accompanied with medical facilities that will be donated immediately after the orientation program of the 2017 Batch ‘A’ set, which will hold on June 12. The donation is a collaborative effort of the NYSC and an American NGO, Health Initiative for Rural Dwellers.”
However, Omulo consoled Musa with a cash gift of N2,000 and promised to consider next time. On Sunday, May 21, a young man Chidi Okereke took to his Facebook profile revealing that money has been raised for Miss Musa to buy a new wheelchair but they need to locate her.

He posted her picture saying: “I'm excited. We have raised money to buy Jamila Musa a wheelchair. We are still receiving for any extras she may need. Now all we need to do is find her. Please share, a Jigawa Corper or someone who knows Mr Michael Omulo, the Jigawa NYSC coordinator may be on your page. Bless you.”
