Wenger admits Alexis Sanchez contract extension demands are costly

- Alexis Sanchez might not be offered a new deal at Arsenal according to Arsene Wenger

- Wenger says offering Sanchez a new deal could break the wage struture of the club

- Ozil and Sanchez currently earn around £150,000-a-week but they both want a pay rise

Arsene Wenger has suggested Alexis Sanchez might not sign a contract at Arsenal after admitting that a new big-money contract for the Chilean could "put the club in trouble."

NAIJ.com understands that Arsenal will have to shatter their current wage structure in order to keep the attacker at the club for the long term.

Wenger says he fears Arsenal will be disstabilized if Sanchez is offered a new contract
Mesut Ozil also wants a big money contract at the club and Wenger says such deals could have a negative impact on the Arsenal team.

Asked if he was concerned that paying one star player a massive figure could destabilise the team, Wenger said: "Always. But we must accept as well that modern life has changed a little bit.

Ozil and Sanchez want new deals at the club
"We always had a wage schedule that was respected, and players earn so much money now that the cases have become much more individual than global.

"But you have many different opinions there. Some people tell me, 'just give him what he wants.' But then you cannot respect anymore any wage structure and you put the club in trouble as well."

Wenger has already rejected claims Sanchez could be offered a new deal worth £300,000-a-week amid interest from Chelsea, Manchester City, PSG and Bayern Munich.

Wenger fears for Arsenal's future
Sanchez and Ozil are both out of contract at the end of next season, and Wenger has previously said he is hopeful that deals can be reached with the star duo this summer.

The two players currently earn around £150,000-a-week but they both want a pay rise of more than £100,000-per-week.
