The 23-year-old was attacked by a man who apparently thought he was a Chelsea supporter

Sources claim he has been discharged from the hospital, but still requires treatment

Michael Voller, a Tottenham fan, was left with broken cheekbone, eye socket and skull after he was attacked by a Spurs fan who apparently thought he was a Chelsea fan.

The 23-year-old formerly worked for Spurs as a training ground gardener. He was punched in the face after he left Wembley Stadium after the crunch FA Cup semi-final tie between Chelsea and Tottenham.

The game was played on Saturday April 22, 2017 with the Blues winning that encounter 4-2 and qualifying for the finals.

According to reports, Voller has been discharged from the hospital although he still requires treatment as doctors are concerned about the extent of the damage to his eyesight.

The attack happened after the match at around 7.30pm outside Moore Spice Indian Restaurant on Engineers Way, close to Wembley Stadium.

The suspect is described as a white man in his early 20s who is approximately 5ft 10inch tall. He also wore a black hooded top or jacket.

Detective Constable James Robb, of Brent CID, the investigating officer confirmed the incident after it happened.

He said: "This was a violent and unprovoked assault that has left a young man with some terrible injuries that could end up affecting him for the rest of his life."

He also appealed to people who knows the identity of the perpetrator of the assault to contact crimestoppers anonymously.
