Mohammed says President Buhari cannot control some people in his government and these have made themselves into a formidable group
He said this situation is dangerous for Nigeria and its people and ultimately rules out President Buhari for a second term in office
What Nigeria needs now, he says, is a competent leader who has no religious, health or tribal baggage
Junaid Mohammed, a northern elder and former lawmaker, has raised fresh alarm over some cabals which he claimed has hijacked the Presidential Villa Aso Rock from President Muhammadu Buhari.
Reports say that Mohammed told newsmen in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja on Friday, April 21 that President should perish the idea of running for another term in office because Nigerians were tired of his style of leadership.
He alleged that the president is unable to take strong decisions against the officials who have formed a formidable group in his circle.
Junaid Mohammed says President Buhari’s inability to control his government has put Nigeria in a dangerous position.
He said: “The cabal under Buhari has virtually taken over the affairs of the country from him and he cannot counterbalance them, a situation that is very dangerous for the Nigerian people and their future.
“As it has emerged, Buhari cannot take firm decisions against the cabal running his government and working for their selfish interest. In the end, the President is always trying to pacify the cabal to the detriment of Nigeria and it is very sad.
“This country therefore needs a competent leader bereft of religious, tribal and health challenges to manage its affairs.”
NAIJ.com recalls that Junaid Mohammed’s submission comes just days after some APC members in Delta state also claimed that some powerful opposition Peoples Democratic Party figures have taken over President Buhari’s government.
The members under the umbrella of APC Unity Group said the group have hijacked appointments that belonged to APC members in the administration.
