- First time parents Tim and Bethani Webb were blessed with identical quadruplets last year—a one-in-15-million chance

- Their story became an instant internet sensation

- They have since set up a Facebook page to update well wishers on the progress of the quadruplets

When doctors told first time parents Tim and Bethani Webb that they were expecting quadruplets, they could scarcely believe it.

However, there was an even bigger surprise for the Alberta, Canada couple when Bethani delivered in May 2016—their four baby girls were identical.

According to experts, the chances of having identical quadruplets is one in 15 million.

Tim and Bethani—plus the newborn girls—were therefore in pretty rare company and their story became an instant internet sensation.

Even more remarkably, they did not use fertility treatment and do not have a history of multiple births in their respective families.

The couple named their girls Abigail, McKayla, Grace and Emily. They were all healthy newborns and were born through cesarian section.

Speaking at the time, Bethani said having four babies was both a pleasant surprise and a challenge, adding: "It’s a little overwhelming knowing that I’m taking care of four little babies. But it’ll be good. Once they get home and I get into a routine, I’m sure it won’t be too bad.”

The sheer interest in the quadruplets from well wishers prompted the couple to set up a Facebook page with regular updates about their development.

More than 15,000 people follow their page and actively participate in posts about the four identical girls.
