Man steals N236k raised by cops to save life of their colleague

Ugandan police are hunting for a man who vanished with N236k

The cash was meant for treatment of one of their officers’ colleague

The daring thief was reportedly a house helper to the ailing police officer

They put so much effort to raise N236k to save the life of one of their colleagues who was involved in a nasty accident, only for an unknown house help to run away with all the cash.

Unidentified man ran away with N236k collected by police officers to save their colleague’s life.
“After all the efforts put in place to save our fellow commander C/ASP Baguma, the gentleman ran away with N236k we had contributed,” says one of the policemen close to Baguma.

The money was collected to save the life of one ASP Patrick Baguma who was due for an operation.

Baguma, who is reportedly attached to Soroti Central Police station in Uganda, was involved in an accident while on duty. He was knocked on a police motorcycle and got paralysed on the left side of his body, including his left leg.

This officer was involved in an accident and needs operation that is estimated to be worth N1.5 million
As a result of the accident, the officer is experiencing excruciating difficulties in walking and talking and is in need of about N1.5 million for an operation.

The man who stole the money that had been collected by some of the police officers to go towards Baguma’s treatment is said to must have been his house helper.

The search for the thief is underway.
