John Terry has paid his tribute to Chelsea fans and owner Roman Abrahamovich in an emotional post on his instagram page.
The English centre-back announced on 17 April 2017 that he will be leaving the London side after 22 years with the club.
The Chelsea captain tagged the decision of him leaving the club as the toughest decision of his life and he has thanked his managers and his teammates for helping him break so many records at the club.
Terry has thanked the Chelsea fans, who he said "have been instrumental in my success and have inspired me."
He also acknowledged in his post that although he will love to play more at Stamford Bridge but he believes that the chances of him playing will be limited and it is therefore time for a new challenge.

The 36-year-old joined Chelsea in 1995 and has gone on to break so many records at the club scoring 40 goals in 488 Premier League appearances.
Reports gathered that Terry has won 14 major honours with the club including a Champions League title, four Premier League titles, one Europa League title, three League cups and five FA cups.
