James Ibori gets important chieftaincy title in Delta (photos)


James Ibori was honoured with a chieftaincy title in Delta state

- The former governor returned to Nigeria months ago spending time in a UK prison

In what many have described as renewed attempt at returning to politics, former Delta governor, James Ibori was honoured with a chieftaincy title of the “Ezi-Oyi Anioma”.

The former governor who just returned from the UK after he spent more than four years in prison due to fraud and corrupt practices has been visiting top politicians since he returned.

He has visited the family of former Bayelsa State governor, Late Diepreye Alamieyeseigha; the Ovie of Oghara Kingdom, Delta State, HRM Noble Eshemitan, Uku-Ogharaname Orife III; and had also received visits from Governors Seriake Dickson and Ifeanyi Okowa.

It was reported that Ibori wept after he paid a condolence visit to the family of his long time friend and political ally, late DSP Alamieyeseigha.
