Herbalist spotted preparing juju at Allen Junction

- The country is currently experiencing an economic recession

- Some Nigerians are beginning to take desperate measures to make money just to make ends meet

- A man openly tried to set up a shrine at a popular junction in Lagos

Allen Junction, Ikeja, Lagos, which is notoriously known for the high patronage of nightcrawlers (call girls) and mentally challenged people who mostly roam around, may have taken a turn from the usual.

The man who appears to be a 'budding' herbalist, preparing his concoctions in broad daylight.

The yet-to-be identified young man who looks to be in his early 30s was seen setting up his shrine and tying several palm fronds which he further attached to bottles and several objects scattered near his feet.

The man would jump up at intervals, do a strange dance while chanting what appeared to be incantations, making people run away or walk even faster because they were afraid of him.

The man however carried on his business without actually touching anybody, till the reporter left the area after taking pictures from the safety of a car.

The 'herbalist' was seriously attending to his concoctions

The herbalist did a strange dance at intervals, making people afraid
Could it be the recession that has driven this man into doing this?
