Former Manchester United star Quinton Fortune collapsed while taking part in the London marathon and was carried off on a stretcher.
The ex South African international appeared barely conscious as four medics rushed to his aid after completing the 26.2 mile race.
We understand that the former Bolton and Atletico Madrid midfielder had earlier collapsed just 600m away from the end.
