30-year-old high school football coach and health teacher Robert Browne is fit and ripped, but it hasn't always been this way—just four years ago, he weighed a whooping 160kg.

Browne weighed as much as 160kg before making an amazing transformation
In high school, Browne was an avid football player before a knee injury cut short his playing career, forcing him into coaching.

However, the switch also had an unintended effect—weight gain. He soon became so unfit that in 2013, he nearly suffered a stroke due to high blood pressure.

After a doctor's warning, Browne began keeping fit
His doctor warned him to shed the excess weight, a warning he took seriously. He then started an amazing transformation that has seen him featured in numerous fitness magazines, including the Men's Health.

Now, using his incredible transformation story, he inspires his students to keep as fit and ripped as he is and to not give up even when it might appear impossible.

Browne says his transformation is a result of a disciplined workout regime as well as a conscious effort to maintain a healthy lifestyle, including a healthy diet.

He has now gained legions of followers on his Instagram page, many of whom are fellow fitness fanatics and those wishing to follow in his footsteps.

Here are some of his Instagram posts that show just how ripped is:
