Ayodele Fayose
Governor Peter Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State has told concerned Nigerians that he will not commit suicide over President Buhari’s return alive to the country after 109 days medical leave in London, United Kingdom
Fayose who swore about a month earlier that he would hang himself (commit suicide) if ailing President Muhammadu Buhari returns to the country alive, has debunked calls by concerned Nigerians waiting for the ugly news of his suicidal action and made it clear that he was only joking, urging his fans to take the utterance as one of those jokes politician release to state their stand on a particular subject matter
Fayose who stated this on ESFM in Ado Ekiti during Sunday night political program, maintained that as a Nigerian politician, not all promises are fulfilled and that such utterances over the health of Mr. President was “one of those things”. He noted however that Nigerians are quick to remember his joke on the matter but adamant on the electioneering campaign promises made by the APC led government
He urged his fans and those calling for his head to rather hold the APC government responsible for the failed promises made to the people during the 2014 campaigns and not apply the energy against a mere joke he uttered just about a month ago
The Governor, on behalf of the good Ekiti people, welcomed Mr. President, Muhammadu Buhari, back to the country whilst praying that afflictions shall not rise again
He urged the APC led government to eschew unnecessary excuses and blame game, and focus on delivering the outrageous electioneering campaign promises it made to the people.
