A Nigerian woman based in the United States has been accused of killing her husband for his Insurance money.
The 45-year-old woman who was identified as Uloma Walker-Curry was convicted of aggravated murder for allegedly killing her firefighter husband, William Walker.
According to prosecutors, the woman was in financial crisis when she allegedly ordered her 17-year-old daughter and daughter’s boyfriend to find someone to kill her husband.
Walker Curry had paid her daughter’s boyfriend, Chad Padgett, a sum of $1000 (N314,750) to carry out the attack so she could get the $100,000 (N31,475,000) Insurance money.

It was gathered that Padgett contacted his cousin Chris Hein to kill the woman’s husband but he failed to carry it out. Padgett went ahead to call Ryan Dorty to take Hein’s place.
Dorty ambushed the firefighter after he went out to get fast food for his wife and shot him four times.
The accused’s daughter, Padgett, Hein and Dorty testified against the woman at trial as part of plea deal for their roles in the murder.

According to reports, Hein would be sentenced to 18 years in prison, Padgett 28 years and Dorty 23 years instead of life imprisonment for three of them.
Meanwhile, Walker-Curry’s daughter would spend a month in a juvenile detention center.
On the day she surrendered to the police, Walker-Curry confessed to killing her husband because he was abusive.
It was gathered that the accused would be sentenced on Tuesday, August 8. She could be sentenced to life.
