James Rodriguez and Alvaro Morata ensured Real Madrid continued to stay in touch with Barcelona at the top of the La Liga table as Los Blancos defeated Granada.
Morata scored a brace against Granada
The duo who have not been regular starters for Zinedane Zidane's men scored two apiece as Madrid won 4 - 0 at relegated Granada.
James' brace came inside the first 11 minutes against Tony Adams side, his first within two minutes and and his second a header from a cross from Fabio Contrao.
James scored a brace within the first eleven minutes
Morata's double came after the 30th minute mark after which Madrid took their foot off the gas with a Champions League tie to think of.
Madrid remain behind Barcelona in LaLiga by virtue of an inferior head-to-head record, but have a game in hand.
Zinedane Zidane's side has matches against Sevilla and Celta Vigo – both teams who have beaten Madrid men this season.
Meanwhile Barcelona were 4-1 winners against Villarreal earlier on the day as Lionel Messi scored a brace for the Catalans.
